Prana New Year Festival

Previous entry:  John Goudge Band is part of an exciting line-up at the Prana Festival this New Year.

Check out the Prana website (click) for all the info, & how to get tickets. It's a brilliant 4-day festival with workshops & music at the Prana eco-retreat near Opoutere.

It’s the first time we have been invited to perform at the long-running music & wellness festival, although Johnny has played there with various acts over recent years.

The band will feature with two performances on the Global Village Stage, unofficially on New Year’s Eve at 6 pm, & on New Year’s Day at 7.15 pm. These are great time-slots (of course subject to change) so we can cross to the main stage for the night sessions which includes some incredible overseas & local acts. There are many workshops, stalls, & food outlets to enjoy, aswell as the beauty of the place itself.

I plan to premiere a new epic dance work currently called ‘Canopy One.’ The piece is inspired by the Waitakere Ranges & an ancient people that used to live there.
